The wait is finally over as the award winning actress, Lupita Nyon’go, finally jetted into the country for an official visit that saw the chucking of 10,000 shillings dinner vouchers.
Well the lass’s, first stop in the country was the Nairobi animal orphanage where she humbly got to interact with baby elephants.
The Hollywood actress is now working with a conservation organizationWildAid and had this to say before posing for a photo with the calves;
When you know more, it compels you to do more, this exuberant experience was mixed with a deep sadness of knowing that so many of them have lost their families to poachers
The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust that took care of the calves had this to say about the contribution towards the eradication of poaching:
Our sincere thanks to Lupita Nyong’o for lending her voice to elephants and helping us to secure a future for the species.
Here is a photo of Lupita with the calves as one decides to photo bomb her with its huge trunk.
